The Distinguished Dad Program
The Distinguished Dad program is designed to equip fathers with the necessary tools needed to be providers, protectors and leaders in their families and communities.
The Distinguished Dads program offers a 12-week evidenced based curriculum that focuses on: Self-awareness, caring for self, fathering skills, co-parenting skills and healthy relationships skills, using the “24/7 DAD A.M. and 24/7 DAD P.M.” curriculum from the National Fatherhood Initiative.
Wrap Around Services/Case Management
The Covering uses a holistic approach to improve the quality of life of all men and their families affected by economic instability, social inequalities and injustices.
Financial Literacy
These services assist men with understanding and effectively using financial skills through personal financial management, education and budgeting to promote financial stability.
Job Skills Training/Entrepreneurship/Employment Opportunities
The Covering will help men identify their skill sets and determine how to maximize their potential to achieve their career and financial goals as employees, entrepreneurs and business owners.
Mental Health Assistance
The Covering will be a safe place for men to receive the support necessary for personal achievements and creating healthy relationships.
Pride of the Lion - Domestic Violence Assistance
The Covering provides services for men and their children who are targets of domestic violence. These services include education, group support and individual counseling.
